Description: opened in 2001, this is a small comfortable 3-star business hotel with 15 rooms. It is ready to welcome small groups, individual tourists and business people.

The building is historical, constructed in 1901 in the ”Northern modern style” by the architects von Goli and Grimm. The hall of the ground floor is designed in the same style with a “coiling” wooden column as a dominant feature.

The name of the hotel distinguishes it from other hotels. This name reflects the concept of the hotel ”home from home”. Several English words are to be found within its name: Shell, Shelter, Fort. Now this is a trade-marked name “Shelfort” sounding simultaneously gentle, comfortable and original.

The small size of the hotel provides a homely atmosphere which adds it the comfort of your stay.

Hotel Shelfort was one of the founders of an association of hotels: The Hotels Club. The primary goals of this association are joint positioning in the market, an excellent level of service, a positive image of the members of the Club. The main principle of The Hotels Club is the creation and maintenance by the hotels of standards of service for visitors to St. Petersburg. These standards, much more exacting than hotel standards generally in Russia, are approved by the membership of the Club and guarantee a really high quality of service.
